About Us
Beaver Brokerage Inc was founded in 1983, when William (Bill) Squires and Doug Dickie obtained their broker license to open their own business in Richmond Settlement. Working from home while building their first location, many competitors didn't believe they would last long in business, which encouraged them to work harder, deliver exceptional customer service, and build a solid client base.
In 1985, Doug left the company, and Bill's sons, Peter Squires and Brian Squires, joined him at Beaver Brokerage Inc. Focusing on delivering high-quality services, their hard work resulted in loyal customers and word-of-mouth referrals, contributing to rapid growth and success. As a result, the company expanded to 12 employees and opened an office in Woodstock, NB, and an accounting office in Fredericton, NB. In 2010, Peter's daughter, Natasha Squires, became employed with Beaver Brokerage Inc, making their company a 3-generation family business.
Over the years, Beaver Brokerage Inc adapted to the industry's fast-paced changes and started doing its work electronically, allowing it to provide more efficient services and expand its business. In 2021, as Bill, Peter, and Brian approached retirement, they passed the business on to Chris Horne, a long-time and trusted associate of the Squires family. Chris kept most of the employees on board, closed the Fredericton location, and has kept the company's legacy.
